|
|
I think there's already a thread about this from years back, but there have been some major changes recently, so here's a new one.
Conny Van Ehlsing, Monster Hunter is a long-running (four years last January) longish-form webcomic about a girl who grows up to be the best monster hunter ever. With the emphasis on growing up - she just entered second grade.
But you know all this if you've ever clicked on any of the links in my signature.
So, what's new?
Last December, I launched my own site at http://www.dreadfulgate.de/wordpress/eng/ as opposed to the Webcomics Nation site I had. So now I can point to it more proudly. I've also started a Facebook page which is still in the making but can already be viewed and commented on and whatever young people do on Facebook these days.
Also, it's Conny's birthday.
The world's most monster-hunting seven-year old is turning ten this month! In March 2001, the character first appeared as a supporting character in my superhero comic RECEPTION MAN.
To celebrate this, I've invited some webcomics friends over. Beginning tomorrow, I'll open the site to guest artists for the rest of the month. And just because I've got so much material, I'll post them at least twice a week, as opposed to Conny's usual weekly schedule.
The list is not invitation-only, btw! If you want to contribute a sketch or something for the second half of the month, just drop me a PM. _________________

Thanks!
Yeah, that site was long planned and clearly needed. Glad I finally got around to launching it. _________________

Again, thanks! Oh yes she does!
By now, I've got so much guest material that I can increase the update schedule to M-W-F for now.
Today's sinister future vision of Conny came from Stephan Probst, another fellow indie creator from Germany. (Actually, this is turning out to be quite a showcase for German underground and webcomics creators. It'll be worth watching just for that.) _________________

Part 2 of Elbe-Billy's story has been up since Friday. BTW, he told me he would have written a longer one, but he didn't have the time! Gotta love that.
Today, I got another one of Stephan Probst's Future Connys.
Normally, I'd spread them a little further apart, but since both Stephan and Elbe-Billy are currently running in MyComics.de's March contest, I tried to make sure they get as good a chance as possible to grab some extra votes. _________________

Today's contributor, Rautie, is a fan favorite at PANEL, the German comics mag I'm working with.
Read Rautie's cartoon!
I'll be off the grid for the rest of the week, so you'll have to remind yourselves on Friday for David Malambré's Demolitionsquad wonderful guest strip.
Seriously, three-times-a-week webcomickers, how do you keep this up? I'm exhausted just from posting this stuff, and I didn't even draw any of it! _________________

Actually, the finale is so major, I couldn't post it yesterday because you'd all have thought it was a joke!

It's a ten-part story updating daily until April 10th!
Don't miss it! _________________

Okay, then, my first regular comic since before the birthday. Feels like ages.
Today's comic, untypically, tackles a rather serious topic.
