I ran across this on another site. It's a mix of funny and creepy and mysterious and surprising.

I mean what are the odds...you're in North America and you friend just happens to see a pic of you on a poster in the Czech Republic? Just wow. I'm curious as to how that person managed to get such a high res photo (it looks pretty high in definition on that poster)

This happened in the UK recently. We've just had a round of elections, and there's this really horrible xenophobic party called the British National Party (BNP) competing.

So on the BNP leaflets they distributed they had photos of smiling (exclusively white) nurses, lawyers, builders etc. under the heading: "British people like you who are supporting the BNP"

On closer inspection it's discovered that these people are from stock photos and are all American.

Hehe Smile While that is rather amusing and ironic, the difference here is that the photo of this woman and her family was not a stock photo (meaning available as official, licensed free-for-all use).

I'll join that party. Every country should be American! Razz

@the photo though. That's really bizarre. Completely understandable how it could happen, though. It can't be that hard to find models though, can it?

I knew this happened to celebrities and public figures, but regular people and their family photos? Really?

Sometimes people just steal images off google images without studying them that closely (not quite SFW if your boss has very good eyesight)

That is hilarious! A little bit creepy, yes, but rather amusing at the same time.

Isn't that image using a quote from Chris Rock? I'm pretty sure he says this about those doughnuts in one of his stand-up routines.

So their photo was cached by a Czech?....

Old joke.

"Cash a check"
"Cache a Czech"

Sort of lame, really, but I pride myself on preserving our heritage of old lame jokes. If not for people like me these old wheezes would be lost in antiquity.
