Looks cute and could be funny, tough to tell with only 2 strips. _________________ |

actually I was thinking that too, but on further inspection he has about 60 of them buried oddly in the archives. its set up so you have to click on each panel to progress the strip (why?), so I am guessing that didnt work with wordpress of whatever he is using now

Well spotted! I only clicked on "archives" not "more comics" -- failed the IQ test, again. _________________ |

The idea on clicking each panel was so that the reader could only see the last panel when he/she is supposed to see it. Eventualy it's just very annoying. So fresh new start. New comics, an occasionally i want to convert some of the old ones into the new format.
B.T.W. A new comic went up yesterday. http://www.goeber.com/index.php?id=twlc1 |

I read the comic, including the old archive, and I have a few points of criticism, now that you are starting anew with the whole thing.
I was a tad disappointed by the amount of copy/paste I saw. The setup is always the same (girl on the left, alien on the right), as are the poses of the characters. The girl's coat has apparently the same color as her sweater. I really feel it would be an improvement if you'd have more variation in these areas. It might also help deliver the joke better.
Also sometimes I'm a bit lost on what exactly the joke is. I keep expecting a punchline, but can't always find it. Of course humor is not always the aim of a webcomic, maybe you're leaning more towards conveyeing cutenesss, in which case I'll shut up. Also, please have less toilet jokes in the new series (or better yet, refrain from them entirely)
Lastly, you seem to religiously hold on to 3 panels. (maybe out of ease, maybe because you want to do things newspaper style) I say if the comic needs more or less panels to convey the message, go for it. At least you won't have awkward empty panels such as the first panel in comic #3 and some comics in your archive. |

I prefer the second strip, tho' I'd maybe copy Cindy's expression in the 2nd panel of the first strip into the 1st panel of the second strip, and her expression in the 3rd panel of the first strip into the 3rd panel of the second strip.
Crazy suggestion, should there be snow or frost on the ground to underline the fact it's freezing? What with the brilliant sun and the greenery, I'm not feeling the cold despite what Cindy says. _________________ |

I think the second strip is a considerable improvement. Good job! And I second dpat57's comments about using the background more to convey your message |
