@Little Girl: Hello little girl! Aren't you a BIG girl finding out how to work a computer thingie all by yourself. I'm a Fairy. Can you say Fairy? Can you see my pretty wings? Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had pretty wings like me?

@Everyone Else:
last book: Does the playbill for a broadway opening count?
languages: As many as I need to.
Smoking or drinking: Smoking is a filthy habit <glares disapprovingly at Conal and his cigar> so I'd give that up. If I did it. Which i don't.
Favorite vacation: Dubai has beautiful beaches, but Monaco has better liquor (and more of it), but the nature and mountain spirits in Japan are more lively and less depressing than elsewhere, but the Geisers in Yellowstone are the only shower if you really want to get clean, but New York has all the serious nightlife but Dublin is the only city where people speak a decent civilized language, so I'd have to say, anywhere that Conal isn't.
Do when angry?: I don't get angry. I get even. It's much more fun.
best friend: Fairies don't have friends per se, but I do have a number of sisters of varying degrees, and of them, I thinkmy favorite is Bilberry, who was born of my own bog after I had to abandon it when Conal forced his spawn on me.
favorite computer game: no
favorite outside game: Okay, this is a real fun one. You find a traveler who's lost in the woods and you set your glamour so it looks like the light of a distance farmhouse or inn or something, then you stay just far enough ahead of them that they think they're making progress, but really you're leading them deeper into the woods. You get points for leading them close to—but not into—deadly danger.
best flavour of ice cream: a scoop of vanilla in a cup of hot Irish Coffee.

Okay, my turn.
Who's prettier, me, or some girl who's not me?
Does this dress make me look hippish?
No seriously, I think it makes me look hippish, but when I ask Conal, he just rolls his eyes.

I bet I know more about computers than you do! I built this computer myself! I don't believe in fairies. I'm not a baby. And I'm glad I don't have wings. A human being is too big for functioning wings to be practical.

Favorite vacation
I don't like going to the same place twice. It's boring after the first time.

best friend
Ummmm there's only two other kids my age in town and they're both really mean. I usually just play by myself.

favorite computer game
Squee-Pet 5.0. You get to raise a pet monster and make up things for its house, and then it plays with other monsters. The AI is really smart and hasn't repeated itself very much yet when I've played it.

favorite outside game
I'm bad at sports. Matilda is the sporty one. I like watching bugs and plants and things outside though.

best flavour of ice cream
Chocolate!

Who's prettier, me, or some girl who's not me?
I dunno.

Does this dress make me look hippish?
*shrugs*

You don't have to believe in fairies. I don't believe in smart-ass little knowitalls, but there you are.

Oh cool. I've never met a fairy before.
There's supposed to be some on the island, but some people say there isn't and nobody really knows.

I asked Grim if she'd ever seen one because she collects souls and stuff but she said that even if their were any they'd probably be out of her, um, that word that means it's her job and she can do it....

Anyway, yeah, she said if there were any around she probably wouldn't be sent to collect them when they died and you're supposed to live a really long time so she probably wouldn't get a chance anyway on account of how long you live. That's what I think anyway.

I think you're pretty, but I don't really know if you're prettier because you're kind of a different species and stuff and, uh, I'm sure you're very pretty to people who are the same kind of shape as you.

Um... You're game sounds kind of scary by the way.

2. You can pick me up at the Houston Ship Channel. If I'm not there, ask a passing stevedore, "Donde esta su madre, la puta?" and I'm sure they'll help you out.

You want a story, then, do you? Okay once upon a time, there was a big scary Irishman who was just looking for a quiet place to have a Havana and a read of his book. He found an empty room that looked like just the spot, an settled in. But before you know it, suddenly there were a bunch of people milling around and asking questions, incluing the guy who is begging to get on a Meghan list since he's asking for dates in a room where the only females are a five-year-old Japanese girl and a fairy who looks like a twelve-year-old.

Well our hero tried to ignore all that and keep on reading, but it turns out the batteries in the bargain-basement knockoff iPod his (much-too-long)life partner were starting to crap out. And he just didn't know how long it would be before he started opening up with his shotgun and leaf blade.

And they all lived happily ever after, except the Irishman. Who lived. But he was bound by ties stronger than marriage to a fairy who was as crazy as a bag of cats.

My life story?

Well, uh, I was conceived during a Guns N Roses concert during the late eighties. Grampa threatened to blow Daddy's head off with a shotgun if he didn't marry my Mum, so he called in a few favours with some of his drug addled friends who, um, took care of Grandaddy, but then Dad realised he was in love with Mum anyway. But they got a good inheritance, so that was okay.

And, uh, then it gets a bit hazy really... I think Dad got taken away by the police when I was five after I told Mum about the strange things he was doing with the dog, and, uh, I'm pretty sure I have a sister. And, um... I got abducted by aliens recently, that was pretty cool.

Um...

What were we talking about again?
