A bit of a long shot as I only ready about one chapter of this comic, many years ago, and my memory of it is fairly limited. I moved house shortly after reading it and I seem to have lost the link. But it's really stuck with him and I'd love to find it again.
I think it was sci-fi, or at least not set on earth but set in a modern age. The sci-fi element was very light and not important (at least not to where I read).
Story is about a guy who is moving into this apartment building, though I feel like it was closer to a townhouse or something with a outside space/courtyard - not a giant apartment block anyway... I think.
Anyway a some people befriend him, they chat (the people are a bit quirky), and he finishes up back at his apartment at the end of the day.
He then calls his therapist, who want to know where he is and wants him to come back, or let someone (his family I guess? ) know where he is. He says no, he's not coming back. The therapist says at least are you taking your meds, he says he's got it covered etc.
Anyway eventually the therapist says 'Well why did you bother calling me, if your not going to let me help you?"
And the guy says "I had a good day today. And I wanted to tell someone who would know what that meant."
Anyway that line, or at least the concept of that line, has stuck with me and I would love to read more of this story. Please help!
