I've been thinking for a while that the Gilbert and the Grim Rabbit logo could be better. I don't want to change it for something completely different, just tweak it to make it better.

Anyway, I've done two versions. One with a border round and one without. My own preference is for the bordered version, but I thought I'd see what other people thought. The colours aren't fixed. They'd change to match whatever image the logo's going with.

So, thoughts?

The bordered version. Easier to read, I think.
Both look fine, though.

I'm also digging the fat border on the second image.

I need to see it up against the characters on the left. Maybe the big border would pull too much away from them?

Good point. I've knocked together a version of one of the website headers featuring the new versions already. I'll do versions of my signature image and a couple of ads with the two new versions of the logo as well and post the whole lot later tonight.

I haven't got any of my ad images to hand, but here are a couple of mockups of one of the headers from the site (plus the original for comparison) and two updated versions of the image from my signature.

Any chance of getting the third mock-up but with the orange in the lettering switched to yellow to match the character on the left?

The bordered version looks great! Although I think I prefer the orange to the yellow.

I adore the ad you just posted, but I prefer the orange tint to the yellow. Maybe something in between?

I like the one with the blue border better. I think it suits the characters and is more attractive visually

Big border, orange type in the large version. It looks great with your characters framing it. I didn't comment earlier because on its own, the big logo looked sort of 70s-cartoon-ish, but it looks great in context.

Yeah. It makes more sense with the matching yellow and blue. I'll go with that one.

The blue and yellow one with the border, definitely.
