I've been googling and searching since last night trying to find a webcomic I read years ago. It was around 2001 and was a black and white strip (4 or so panels) and was about 2-3 guys (and a girl?) living on a spaceship. It was pretty goofy and well-drawn with an almost Futurama-like character design (big round eyes and such).

If I remember correctly, it was a simple title like Marooned, (except Marooned is not that strip, it started in '08.) and the main character had blonde hair that came to a point past his forehead.

I don't know if any of this makes any sense, but it's been so long that most of the details are so vague except for the actual look of it.

That sounds suspiciously like Schlock Mercenary. It has, I think, been around since 2001 (or so), and fits most of the rest of your description.

Thanks, but not quite. Almost though!
It was definitely a black and white comic strip. May have been in papers too, for all I know, and I think 2001 marked the "In Space" turn of the series.

Art-wise, it was closer to Rudy Park or B.C., even...

Ha, no, they were all humans. Both of those came up often in my search results, as well as Marooned. I guess this one's a fair bit more obscure, and is a "know it when I see it" kind of thing, I just wish I had more in my memory to go off of. Might try and sketch out a character or two if I can.
