When my previous page (page 14) came out - I was NOT a happy panda. I'm not one to make excuses so I'll just flat out say that - that page came out awful. In my opinion atleast. Yaiches.

So I really tried much harder with this new page and I think it came out much better. It took longer cause I was bummed for a few days from the previous one and had no desire to draw whatsoever but hey... we all have our writer blocks, right?

So anyhow - here's my new page:

I'd really like some feedback to hear if I'm doing this (the comic) right or wrong. I can't really get a clear picture on the subject cause so far my only critics are my girlfriend and my cat, and those two always like my work.

This last page I tried to trace with pens, alas... it came out horrible. So I went back to tracing in photoshop, which I don't like much but lack another alternative.

Like I said once - Digital tracing is like a woman with fake boobs, it looks good but just doesn't feel right!

Sooomewhere... over the rainbow... I've put up a new page! Ha!

To be serious I've put up several pages since last I wrote here, I just don't always remember to update this post with every new page I put. Silly of me really, got to remind people I'm still alive and drawing... right?

To be honest this new page is pretty special. It's the first page I've done and uploaded after I've traced the pencils using a pen and not Photoshop. Not the first time I've tried but the first time the result came out acceptable.

And today I've done another drawing and traced it with pen and it's coming out even better so... I guess I'm improving. I think I'll actually upload that new painting to my newly made (and currently empty) gallery.

Tracing my pictures by hand had opened an entirely new world for me. It is much quicker, and ten times more fun! Always hated Photoshop tracings, pictures came out too alien to me, never felt they were my own. Now however I finally feel I'm uploading MY artwork! Mine! My own! My precioussssss...

It'd been a while since I've uploaded a page. I'd go as to why - had some personal problems and stuff but... I bet no one really cares Smile

So to get you all back to my website - I've wrote a song, based on the famous "American Pie" melody. Here it be:

Allrighty then - so my goal was to update the comic this friday, so that I can say I've updated my comic twice this week Wink

Ofcourse fate had another plan for me, and this friday my girlfriend caught fever and I had to take care of her. That ofcourse threw a monkey at my hamster wheel or something and... my schedule had to be delayed.

So now it's saturday and despite it all I'm glad to say I've updated my comic twice this week! Yay me!

You know - when I began drawing webcomic I tried hard to balance between my pages being funny (or atleast trying to make them funny) and between them advancing my extremely complicated plot (hey... zombies are complicated ok?!).

And just so you know - it's not easy! You've got to try and make it so that every page has some sort of a punchline and still try and follow the storyline. So you twist and turn and adjust and accomodate and jump through hoops and wiggle your tail so that the format of "ooh! story! haha! funny story!" keeps the readers coming back. And it's a fun challenge cause when you pull it off you feel kinda good about yourself.

Sometimes however I feel the need to break that pattern, and I draw pages for the sake of drawing them with little regard as to how funny they are or if they fit in with the general plot.

- where I drew a picture completely unrelated to the rest of the comic (except for the character) just to express my discontent with a certain computer games release date. To this day I still consider it to be one of my favorite pages.

Today I've uploaded another page that differs from my usual format. This one has no punchline and almost no speach - however it does continue the storyline, even though it does so in a completely humorless manner. I've tried to compensate the lack of speech with added artistic value (tried really hard to make this pic look pretty) so I hope it payed off.

Argh... the last page wasn't easy to make. It had all these... things to color, and stuff to draw. Who'd knew all this comic-making is so hard?!

To be serious for a moment, I've probably made every mistake in the book while trying to make this web page. I've learned from them and hopefully I won't make them again working on the next one.
