Hello all:

Allow me to introduce my webcomic: M9 Girls!, the brainchild of yours truly and talented artist Danie.





M9 Girls tells the story of four college girls who delve a little bit too deep into a science project. They are gifted special abilities, so they could be a great hero team... if only their new found powers and disparate personalities don't pull them apart first, and their leader does not fall for their mysterious benefactor...

The story is a shoujo (my friends mock me because I write girly stories!) and is drawn as a beautiful manga.

We hope you like it, and please post your comments, critiques, shameless praise and what not here! We'll keep you informed of updates here.

I like the coloring and the art. I noticed that sometimes one or two panels within a strip seemed rushed. I think maybe they are panels you are trying to fit a lot into and the art gets away from you.

I'm glad you liked the coloring. I'm not really an artist, but I do the coloring myself, except for the covers and some of the special out-of-continuity specials. I tried to come out with something that would fit the general tone of the comic, along with my limited skills.

As for the rushed panels, I get the impression that you are referring to the "chibli" art on the "reaction" panels. As a matter of fact I was unsure about using these type of panels, but I'm kind of giving the artist a little bit of leeway with respect to composition, as we get to know each other (and she is the mangaka, after all). This is valuable feedback I'm passing onto her.

Thanks for the input, I'll keep working on my little pet project!

Ah yes, the cover colors.

You see, I commission the art, and then color it myself, because I want to participate in the final look and feel of the comic, besides just writing it. (Besides, I could not afford a color commission when I started the M9 project).

But for special illustrations, like the covers and holiday illustrations, Danie, my artist, does the full drawing. And she excels at it, if you ask my opinion.

Hopefully my colors on the regular pages are not too horrible!
I chose the style to go along with my story line, hopefully I'm succeeding with that!
