I'm not that boy,I"m sorry! Just your story reminded me my story which happened last summer in Amsterdam as well.
I've met a wonderful boy, we've spent a perfect day, talking about this or that, laughed a lot, walking around. He was from Germany though.
And I don't know how it has happened but we didn't gave each other our phone numbers or any social net directions. So, I still feel pity for that.

Believe you'll be able to find each other finally! Or try Facebook as far as you know his name ( I hope you know his country, right?).
That also look like international working camps, may be you could try to find out some info through that!
May be it's possible to find that guy there.
