Hey guys, I've been working on this webcomic of mine for half a year now and have produced some 50 pages. I figured some more exposure would help and decided to give it a try here

Synopsis: Story of Jack Phoenix, a paranoid teenager with a troubled past and unknown powers, who wakes up and finds life a little stranger than he last left it. Initially set in the ordinary world, the story's scope gradually expands and becomes something else much grander.



The official site is nothing too fancy, just a tumblr with a custom domain name and customized theme, which links to a Smack Jeeves page. Hopefully the interface is not too confusing for you guys :/

I was a bit confused by the interface at first, but once I figured out, I really enjoyed your comic. It was especially fun to see your work evolve! I love gesture drawings.

Thank you. I have to agree that the first 10 to 15 pages had atrocious lineart, as at the time I was essentially just testing whether I could handle making a long-running webcomic. Those pages were quickly sketched and not carefully inked like the later pages. I did learn a great deal as I spent time on the comic that shall continue

Okay I've only just started the comic, and I love your art. Yes the beginning is sketchy and gestural, but there's a really solid feel to the art if that makes sense. I am going to keep reading!

The only criticism I have is the giant pink COMATOSE on your home page. I think it's hideous and really bothers me. It totally distracts from all the wonderful stuff you have further down on the blog. Please, I beg you, make it smaller.

I'll report back if I have any other feedback, but so far so good!

The Tumblr-to-SmackJeeves interface is a little confusing. If anything I would think you would want to apply your custom domain name to the SmackJeeves site (which SmackJeeves almost certainly supports?) where the actual comic is, and just link from there to the Tumblr blog, rather than the other way around as it is now.

Sweet-looking covers, and nice b/w art, and the comic reads well. I'm glad I landed on the latest page on SmackJeeves first, if I'd started reading the early first pages I might not have continued, the difference between the cover pages/later pages and the sketchy art is just too jarring. Anyways, just saying. Overall opinion is favorable.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I suppose I should redo the lineart for the first few pages so they're less unappealing and do the later pages justice.
Also I'll look into upgrading my Smack Jeeves account so I can use it as the website. Only problem is their premium is a little expensive :S

I read your comic the other day and I enjoyed it.

My only complaint is that the bully subject is overdone in webcomics. (well, I am guilty of it myself as well )

And wow! you work fast if you re-made those pages in just 1 day!
