So... anyone manage to snag one at the firesale prices? I enjoy having a tablet when on the road rather than dragging a laptop, so a $99 non-ipad isn't a bad deal... not that I was able to snag one, of course.

I didn't, but now I'm thinking I need to prepare for Black Friday... I imagining the various tablets are going to be a hot item.

Both my wife and I have iPads, iPods, Apple TV, iMacs, iPhone 4s. We were born Apple freaks and we'll die Apple freaks. The stuff just works.

I have a friend at HP and he's going to try to hook me up with one. I want one simply for comic reading and it will probably get little use other than that. Otherwise, I'm split between getting an iPad 3 or Android tablet down the road.

I had hoped to grab one so my wife could have a tablet (she would only need it for email and web browsing), but we've been unable to find one.

When it was the same cost as the iPad 2, it made no sense (and I'm posting this FROM an iPad 2), but for a hundred bucks it's not a bad deal.
