I'm having some issues with ComicPress on my site. Every Wednesday I upload several new pages of my web comic but instead of it flowing all together I get sets of pages. WordPress seems to treat each page as an individual post: (Screen Cap) I dunno, it's a bit tough to explain but if you go to http://smartzombie.com you'll see four pages that were uploaded last Wednesday. When you click "First" or "Previous" they both take you back to the first page instead of just one page back.

You can see the proper page order in a gallery I created: http://smartzombie.com/?page_id=600 but it defeats the purpose of having a ComicPress viewer.

Am I making sense? I need booze!

What format are you using for the file names?

Not sure I get what you want the page to look like. Do you want all the pages of one comic, no matter when you uploaded them, to show on the same page, as one big scroll instead of the several scrolls you got now?

If so, the easiest way is to give them all filenames with the same date.

Comicpress automatically creates a new post for each page, but only one comic post per day. So if you upload more than one with the same date, you'll get multiple-page posts.

Now, if you upload new pages with the same date as last week's pages, in theory those pages should just add to last week's post.

You won't get a new post, though, and no rss notification for regular readers.

There may be a way to tweak CP into displaying a post at the bottom of another post instead of a new page, but that's some major php mojo. I'd recommend asking Frumph at http://www.comicpress.net/forum about that.

When I had my old strip on there years ago it didn't matter when I posted the new ones. They'd all show one after the other (individually) in the viewer with a "next" button or "previous" button. Whenever I uploaded a new strip it'd be the one that appears on the main screen of my site until the next strip was uploaded. My new reader doesn't do this. It will only show the ones I upload on the same date (usually three or four pages in one day) and when you click previous (thinking it'd go to the page directly before the bunch I just uploaded) it goes back to the very first page of the comic.

Again it's tough to explain but I've decided to just upload everything as the same date whenever I do upload new pages. The only trouble with that is people won't know where the new stuff starts. It's so damned confusing!!
