Hey folks!

Just started a new, full-color western (with some steampunk and fantasy splashed in) at nexttownover.net.

Looks a little something like this:

Give it a look see! I'd love some feedback.

Very beautiful artwork, attractive site design. You did a good job of getting me hooked with the first couple of pages, I'm intrigued and want to know what happens next. I'll definitely be following this. Will you be adding "contact" and "about" pages?

Seconded. Very awesome visuals. Love the varied and expressive character designs. The detail in the panel picture-frames is really excellent too. Good job Smile

Thanks, guys! Always great to hear positive stuff.

cmcl: Yeah, the site's missing a lot of key ingredients, presently; I'd never used WordPress/ComicPress before and I've been kind of just noodling around with it so far. I'll be fleshing it out soon.

Not my style of comic but there is no denying your artistic talent. Do to the pace of comic, it might fit better as a comic-book/graphic-novel. Again, amazing art, you clearly were born to draw!

This is beautiful and I love the sepia tones. What medium do you use?

Nicely done, like the art lots, first few pages look promising and read well, be interesting to see where it goes.

I can't disagree with this; you're totally right. I'd like to collect them into serial books or a a bigger trade paperback down the line - it totally reads better like that. I'd also like to move to a twice weekly update schedule, but I'm a sloooow illustrator and for now other work is sort of in my way. Sad

Traditional pencils and digital (PS) colors. Very Happy

7 updates and a couple weeks into starting to try and round up some readers and I'm feeling pretty good about my progress.

Folks asked after adding about/contact/etc. to the site: I've added all that and more. Slowly getting things into shape.

Thanks for your input, guys, and thanks for checking out the comic! Very Happy

The story line and images reminds me of the movie Maverick. Great movie in my opinion.

I tried to make Veronique's saloon outfit an allusion to Jodie Foster's iconic blue dress in the movie. Very Happy

Thanks for all your support, Goeb!
