I'm VERY guilty of this. The most action they see is the occasional raising of a beer or cigarette. I can draw action, but wanted to make my comic look as boring as possible from the get-go, hence the name. |
Ahh I was only thinking of "serious"/story comics. Yours has quality deadpan humor and is an entirely different beast--lack of action really does stand out in a good way there.
And yeah, Red Meat, as has been mentioned, and crazy things like Dinosaur Comics have made successes out of almost no movement. You just gotta be really damn funny to be able to pull that off, but when it works, it works really well. Maybe that's because it's so easy to read without graphic distractions, so like the humor just shoots straight into your brain. _________________
