I'm actually really pleased with this one. This is a speedpaint cover for my NaNoWriMo novel. Hour and a half and I feel it's more solid than anything I've ever painted so far. Also, more fanservicy. (Er, is character in underwear okay?) I think my ability to art leveled up; I learned a lot from this.

That's awesome, I'm loving the lighting, and the composition and contrasts is really atmospheric.
I wish I had an idea for what my NaNo novel cover might look like. _________________

I was playing with my new Wacom (I am now a convert!) and came up with this for the paper I work for.

WIP for Millennium's submission to the Webcomics Tarot (FINALLY. I mollify myself with the fact that it would not have been this good if I had drawn it in January).
It looks good even when I hide the lineart layer, so now I'm thinking of paint-shading it, as opposed to cel-shading. It'd be good practice for once! I tend to shy away from soft shading.
I think when I finish this I'm gonna create some new ads with it. _________________ [ Webcomics Tarot!] |

Who doesn't? Hey wait I don't think I ever posted mine here. Well here it goes:
This was for a "miniposter girl" contest run on Newgrounds' forum oh six months or so ago; you were supposed to incorporate a sort of pin-up girl into a Newgrounds theme or logo somehow, and do it in a sort of retro poster style maybe. This was before my actual main female character showed up in A*, so the setting and costume I came up with for the contest were sort of exaggerated test versions of what I later used in A* episode 5. So this is just a...super-cheesy generic cheesecake space girl. Kind of embarrassing now really. It was one of the contest winners, though. :o And then the dude running it decided the prize wouldn't work, so nobody got anything. Nyahaha.
Also: large version, black and white version, version with lettering_________________

Sweet! It's cool how your stuff still works in color. Maybe we need a separate Sci-Fi Babe thread! _________________ nothinghappenedtoday.com |
